Burr Ridge

Burr Ridge

Straddling both Cook and DuPage Counties, Burr Ridge is a sprawling near western suburb of Chicago with an intentional semi-rural ambiance.  Burr Ridge has a stately look and feel. The minimum lot size is one-half acre.  There are estate-sized properties of custom construction, set on gently rolling lots in a pristine setting.  Its population is approximately 11,000.

Primarily, those who recreate and work in downtown Chicago use Interstate 55, which transgresses the village of Burr Ridge. Commuters who desire rail service via the Metra’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe system usually use the depots in neighboring Hinsdale or Western Springs.

Because of its relative large size, Burr Ridge is serviced by three separate high school districts: Hinsdale Central, Hinsdale South and Lyons Township. Private school options are available as well.
